Whether your guests list numbers 4 or 400 the M Lazy C Ranch is the place to GET OUTTA’ TOWN  and experience the REAL Colorado.  Leave those meetings and conference rooms behind and kick up your heels at this Historic working cattle ranch!  Whether you want western entertainment and activities, teambuilding, or are looking for incentive programs for select personnel the M Lazy C has the experience and facilities to ensure your needs are met. All of our groups are scheduled as “Private Parties” so that groups have our undivided and personal attention while they are guests here at the ranch. 

The M Lazy C Ranch is a real working cattle ranch located just west of Colorado Springs.  The ranch sets in a high mountain valley surrounded by thousands of acres of National Forest.  Treat yourself to the romance of coyote songs and breathtaking mountain sunsets.

"Dinner Site"  The Hayman Building, named after the historic mining town of Hayman, will accommodate 400 plus guests and provides an area for authentic Cowboy meals cooked over an open fire.  Meals are served buffet style.  The M Lazy C Ranch offers a variety of menu and entertainment options to make a memorable Cowboy evening.  The dinner site has an indoor facility and covered pavilions for outdoor seating, 2 large campfire pits for all those tall tales, Indian teepees, an authentic chuck wagon and a "General Store" to sell cowboy gear and gifts.  Horseback and pony rides, wagon and carriage rides are staged from the site, with roping dummies and horseshoe pits for additional entertainment.

Entertainment / Activities

The options are endless...Cowboy singers and poets around the campfires and for entertainment; Country bands for evening entertainment with a stage and complete sound system; Square Dancing/Line Dancing -- a great way to get everyone involved in a group activity; Gunfighters and saloon girls to add to the atmosphere.  You can use your imagination on this one!

Below are some options for group activities.  Understand that you can mix and match any of them.  Imagine the possibilities!  We can produce almost any kind of Western activity.

Horseback Riding

The M Lazy C Ranch borders thousands of acres of prime National Forest land.  A Wrangler will guide guests on trails through beautiful high alpine terrain with incredible mountain vistas.  Our rides are guided but every effort is made to accommodate each riders riding ability - children of all ages are welcome!

Hay/Wagon Rides

A team of Percherons raised here on the ranch pulls our wagons and carriages.  You can take a ride through the forest, use it for transportation to the activities here on the ranch or….. take it to our chuckwagon site for a meal cooked over an open fire and served from the back of an 1800's covered wagon. 

We offer a wide variety of activities (see below) to choose from and the sky is the limit.  You can truly us your imagination and customize anything to fit your needs.

SHOOTING RANGE:  We need your help!  Our hills are full of bad guys, varmints and claim jumpers!  Help us clear'em out and relive the rough and wooly days of wild saloons and shootouts.  Our cowboy action shooting range is the perfect setting with buildings, bad guys and plenty of steel targets, for us to create exciting scenarios for our guests.  Join Wyatt Earp in the OK Corral or help Doc Holliday keep the table honest in a high stakes card game.  The guns and ammunition are provided and include pistols, rifle and shotgun.  An instructor is provided. .

TEAM BUILDING ACTIVITIES:  Looking for ways to build a better team, encourage competition and motivate individuals.  We can help you put together a day of fun that can include any of the following games/activities.

Quick Draw Competition - Guests will have the opportunity to try their hand at a quick draw contest.  5 shots - best time of the 5 is recorded.

Life of the Cowboy - Team building activities consisting of sorting calves, buckin' bales, brandin', ropin' and ridin'.

Tic-Tac-Toe - Pen a designated cow/calf (good luck) for your team and put an "X" or "O" on the score board.  The first team to complete their task wins.

Mini Cattle Drives - Guests will drive the cattle through the forest and take them to the chuckwagon site.

WILD WEST SHOW / RODEOS:  The Wild West show here at the M Lazy C has actual cowboys/cowgirls competing for prize money, a rodeo announcer and grand entry parade in the same arena that CMT’s Cowboy U contestants competed in.  This can be either just a spectating activity or guests can actually participate in selected rodeo events.  Events include Cowboy Mounted Shooting - a timed event with speed, accuracy, specialty acts with Burger King, a Texas Longhorn to ride and shoot off of, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, Pack Races, calf dressing contests, bull and bronc riding competitions.  The arena is located at the "Homestead Site."  Videos are available.
