Experience the REAL Colorado by
Horseback!
Open to the public year-round!
Ridin’ at the M Lazy C Ranch puts guests in the boots of a cowboy on
a journey through Colorado’s pristine wilderness. Whether guests
only have time for an hour ride, or time to spend a couple of hours,
or days with us, they are treated to the timeless views of Pikes
Peak and the Rocky Mountains that have humbled Native Americans,
explorers, settlers, cowboys, and ranch guests for generations.
Every horseback ride takes guests through the Pike National Forest
and past historic mining claims. Of note, those savy for a couple
hrs in the saddle will see where the Hayman Fire started in 2002 and
how the forest is recovering. Native grasses, wildflowers, aspen,
and countless species of wildlife are already taking back the land
the fire destroyed.
Horseback rides are open to the public year-round. Children
are always welcome! Our Wranglers match the horse to the
ability and physical requirements of each rider and make every
effort to ride to the guests’ abilities.
What follows is a price list and the types of rides we offer.

1/2 Day Ride to Fluhman's Cave
Leaves the Ranch at 9:00 a.m.
|
We
will take you on a horseback ride to a unique historical site:
the famous "Death Cave.” In 1892, the bully in the Park County
area, Ben Radcliff, picked a fight with the meek and mild
Gottlieb Fluhmann who fled to the now famous “Death Cave” where
he was hunted down and shot after living there for over a month.
It would be almost fifty years before his remains were
discovered and given a proper burial. Evidence of his presence
still exists today.
The
cost is $75 and includes 3 hours of riding and lunch.
