Ranch Activities: A Little Something For Everyone
Whether you are here for the day or for the whole week or two, M Lazy C has lots to do. Check out the horses and livestock or enjoy the surrounding forests. The M Lazy C has a lot to offer.
Ranch Activities – Riding Club
We welcome riding clubs for those that love to get together and ride on a regular basis. The M Lazy C sits nestled in Pike National Forest and there are many trails for cowboys and cowgirls to explore.
Ranch Activities – Horseback Riding
Saddle up for one of our beautiful horseback rides through Pike National forest. Join us for one hour, 2 hour, or half day rides. See the majestic views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains. See historic mining claims and the place where the Hayman Fire started in 2002. Travel western style, astride one of our beautiful and majestic steeds.

Ranch Activities – Cattle Drive
Put your boots and chaps on, this is one cattle drive you won’t want to miss. Taking care of the cattle on this working ranch takes work! We check, move, and work cattle on a daily basis. You can join a cowboy crew as they doctor, brand, rope, and drive.

Ranch Activities – Shooting Range
Showdown at the OK corral! Our cowboy action shooting range will put you in the middle of it all. Store fronts, bad guys, guns and ammunition, we’ve got what it takes for you to shoot ‘em up. Our instructors will show you the ins and outs of the pistol, rifle and shotgun. We also handle Cowboy Action Shooting (CAS) events, Single Action Shooting (SASS) functions, and Cowboy Mounted Shooting (CMSA). You can use your own guns or use our single action pistols and lever action rifles.

Ranch Activities – Team Building Activities
Let a little cowboy competition or cooperation bring your team all together. Whether you want to rope and ride or sort and brand cattle, we have team building activities like you’ve never done before. Play a little pen the cow/calf pair tic-tac-toe or a friendly quick draw competition. You’ll see who’s the fastest gun in the west, and the cowboys and cowgirls you want on your side when the going gets tough.
Ranch Activities – Chuck Wagon Dinner
We put on a real cowboy spread every Friday and Saturday night here at the M Lazy C. Join us for a hay ride at 6:00 and stay for a buckle bustin’ chuck wagon dinner at 6:30. Better still, come at 4:30 and join us for a horseback ride first! Choose from one of our mouth-watering entrées: flat iron steak, ½ chicken, or BBQ pork ribs made with our delicious homemade sauce. Served with all the cowboy fixin’s and sweet apple crisp for dessert, you’ll be ready for a hard day’s work come morning. And for your enjoyment, we have cowboy entertainment to bring you an hour of family friendly fun and entertainment.

Ranch Activities – Hay Ride
Hay is for horses, and for horse drawn hay rides! Let our Percheron draft horses give you a hay ride of a lifetime. Raised on our ranch, these horses will pull you around with grace and ease. A peaceful hayride is just what Doc Holliday ordered.

Ranch Activities – Sleigh Rides
Bundle up and get ready for a ride through a winter wonder, western style. Our ranch raised Percheron draft horses will pull you with ease as you glide through the snow. This will be a peaceful and beautiful winter drive like you’ve never taken before.

Ranch Activities – Nightly Activities
The show’s not over just because the sun went down! We’ve got arena games, ice cream socials, poker night and more. Get your fill at our Friday and Saturday night chuck wagon dinner and show, and stay for our Sunday morning breakfast and Cowboy Church.

Ranch Activities – Other Activities
If you find yourself with a little down time, take advantage of our other ranch activities. The M Lazy C has a volleyball net, a horseshoe pit, roping dummies, and a hot tub. Do you hear nature calling? There are many great trails around the ranch suitable for hiking. And for those who really want to get their hands dirty, there’s always a stall that needs mucking!
